{"id":311334,"date":"2024-07-22T10:47:42","date_gmt":"2024-07-22T14:47:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.episcopalchurch.org\/?p=311334"},"modified":"2024-07-22T13:53:09","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T17:53:09","slug":"save-the-date-for-presiding-bishop-elect-rowes-installation-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.episcopalchurch.org\/publicaffairs\/save-the-date-for-presiding-bishop-elect-rowes-installation-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Save the date for Presiding Bishop-elect Rowe\u2019s installation service"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs\" data-active-tab=\"0\"><ul class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-links\"><\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__nav-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title-wrapper\"><a href=\"#\"><span class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__title\">English<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-tabs__tab-content\">\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.episcopalchurch.org\/publicaffairs\/scaled-down-installation-planned-for-presiding-bishop-elect-sean-rowe\/\">announced at the close of the 81st General Convention<\/a>, the installation of Presiding Bishop-elect Sean Rowe will be a simpler, scaled-down event this fall with a view toward reducing carbon footprint and increasing virtual engagement and participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The installation service will take place <strong>on Nov. 2<\/strong> at the Chapel of Christ the Lord in The Episcopal Church Center in New York City with a prelude beginning at 10 a.m. ET and the <strong>service starting at 11 a.m. ET.<\/strong> There will be an extensive livestream production to support churchwide access and participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All are welcome and encouraged to attend virtually\u2014and dioceses should begin thinking about organizing watch parties. The Episcopal Church Office of Communication will be supporting those efforts with customizable invitations and other assets, with more information available in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rt. Rev. Deon Johnson, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri and chair of the installation planning committee, said: \u201cI am delighted to work with Presiding Bishop-elect Rowe and the committee in planning this historic installation.
