Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rite II:<\/strong><br>Merciful God, who called your servant Macrina to reveal in her life and teaching the riches of your grace and truth: Grant that we, following her example, may seek after your wisdom and live according to the way of your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First Lesson:<\/strong> Ecclesiasticus 51:13\u201322<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>13<\/sup>&nbsp;While I was still young, before I went on my travels,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I sought wisdom openly in my prayer.<br><sup>14<\/sup>&nbsp;Before the temple I asked for her,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and I will search for her until the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>15<\/sup>&nbsp;From the first blossom to the ripening grape<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;my heart delighted in her;<br>my foot walked on the straight path;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;from my youth I followed her steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>16<\/sup>&nbsp;I inclined my ear a little and received her,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and I found for myself much instruction.<br><sup>17<\/sup>&nbsp;I made progress in her;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;to him who gives wisdom I will give glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>18<\/sup>&nbsp;For I resolved to live according to wisdom,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and I was zealous for the good,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and I shall never be disappointed.<br><sup>19<\/sup>&nbsp;My soul grappled with wisdom,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and in my conduct I was strict;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I spread out my hands to the heavens,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and lamented my ignorance of her.<br><sup>20<\/sup>&nbsp;I directed my soul to her,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and in purity I found her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With her I gained understanding from the first;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;therefore I will never be forsaken.<br><sup>21<\/sup>&nbsp;My heart was stirred to seek her;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;therefore I have gained a prize possession.<br><sup>22<\/sup>&nbsp;The Lord gave me my tongue as a reward,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and I will praise him with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Psalm:<\/strong> Psalm 119:97-104<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>97 <\/sup>Oh, how I love your law! *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; all the day long it is in my mind.<br>\n<sup>98 <\/sup>Your commandment has made me wiser than my enemies, *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; and it is always with me.<br>\n<sup>99 <\/sup>I have more understanding than all my teachers, *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; for your decrees are my study.<br>\n<sup>100 <\/sup>I am wiser than the elders, *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; because I observe your commandments.<br>\n<sup>101 <\/sup>I restrain my feet from every evil way, *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; that I may keep your word.<br>\n<sup>102 <\/sup>I do not shrink from your judgments, *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; because you yourself have taught me.<br>\n<sup>103 <\/sup>How sweet are your words to my taste! *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; they are sweeter than honey to my mouth.<br>\n<sup>104 <\/sup>Through your commandments I gain understanding; *<br>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; therefore I hate every lying way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gospel:<\/strong> Mark 3:20\u201334<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>20<\/sup>and the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat.&nbsp;<sup>21<\/sup>When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, \u2018He has gone out of his mind.\u2019&nbsp;<sup>22<\/sup>And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, \u2018He has Beelzebul, and by the ruler of the demons he casts out demons.\u2019&nbsp;<sup>23<\/sup>And he called them to him, and spoke to them in parables, \u2018How can Satan cast out Satan?&nbsp;<sup>24<\/sup>If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.&nbsp;<sup>25<\/sup>And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.&nbsp;<sup>26<\/sup>And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but his end has come.&nbsp;<sup>27<\/sup>But no one can enter a strong man\u2019s house and plunder his property without first tying up the strong man; then indeed the house can be plundered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>28<\/sup>\u2018Truly I tell you, people will be forgiven for their sins and whatever blasphemies they utter;&nbsp;<sup>29<\/sup>but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit can never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin\u2019\u2014&nbsp;<sup>30<\/sup>for they had said, \u2018He has an unclean spirit.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>31<\/sup>Then his mother and his brothers came; and standing outside, they sent to him and called him.&nbsp;<sup>32<\/sup>A crowd was sitting around him; and they said to him, \u2018Your mother and your brothers and sisters&nbsp;are outside, asking for you.\u2019&nbsp;<sup>33<\/sup>And he replied, \u2018Who are my mother and my brothers?\u2019&nbsp;<sup>34<\/sup>And looking at those who sat around him, he said, \u2018Here are my mother and my
