The Collect:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rite I:<\/strong>
O Lord, who in a time of turmoil and confusion didst raise up thy servant William White to lead thy church into ways of stability and peace; Hear our prayer, and give us wise and faithful leaders, that, through their ministry, thy people may be blessed and thy will be done; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rite II:<\/strong>
O Lord, who in a time of turmoil and confusion raised up your servant William White to lead your church into ways of stability and peace; Hear our prayer, and give us wise and faithful leaders, that, through their ministry, your people may be blessed and your will be done; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 <\/sup>Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,
\n5<\/sup> \u2018Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
\nand before you were born I consecrated you;
\nI appointed you a prophet to the nations.\u2019
\n6<\/sup>Then I said, \u2018Ah, Lord God! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy.\u2019 7<\/sup>But the Lord said to me,
\n\u2018Do not say, \u201cI am only a boy\u201d;
\nfor you shall go to all to whom I send you,
\nand you shall speak whatever I command you.
\n8<\/sup> Do not be afraid of them,
\nfor I am with you to deliver you,
\nsays the Lord.\u2019
\n9<\/sup>Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth; and the Lord said to me,
\n\u2018Now I have put my words in your mouth.
\n10<\/sup> See, today I appoint you over nations and over kingdoms,
\nto pluck up and to pull down,
\nto destroy and to overthrow,

7 <\/sup>Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; *
\n       hearken, O God of Jacob.
\n8 <\/sup>Behold our defender, O God; *
\n       and look upon the face of your Anointed.
\n9 <\/sup>For one day in your courts is better than
\n                              a thousand in my own room, *
\n       and to stand at the threshold of the house of my God
\n       than to dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Gospel:<\/strong> Mark 4:30\u201334<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30<\/sup>He also said, \u2018With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? 31<\/sup>It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; 32<\/sup>yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

33<\/sup>With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it; 34<\/sup>he did not speak to them except in parables, but he explained everything in private to his
