The Episcopal Church joins this international effort for prayer and action for climate justice and an end to environmental racism and ecological destruction. The 2024 theme is <em>To hope and act with Creation<\/em>. In celebrating the Season, we are invited to consider anew our ecological, economic, and political ways of living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Season of Creation may be a great opportunity to hold an outdoor worship service or ministry event. On June 5th, the Season of Creation 2024 Celebration Guide was published with prayers and ideas to consider including an outdoor prayer service, creation walk or pilgrimage, sustainability event, or preaching about creation throughout the Season. Sign up for updates, and keep an eye out for an event calendar for virtual and in-person events around the world, and information on how to register your Season of Creation activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/newcreationliturgies.org\/seasonofcreation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Season of Creation Celebration Guide for Episcopal Parishes\u00a0<\/a>is a curated liturgical resource assembled by the Rev. John Elliott Lein (priest in Maine) and the Rev. Dr. Margaret Bullitt-Jonas (Creation activist and priest in Massachusetts) from prayers, readings, and liturgies created all over the global Anglican Communion and beyond. The 2024 guide has been authorized by forty two diocesan bishops &#8211; and additional bishops may authorize the materials all the way to Sept. 1, the Feast Day of Creation and the first day of Season of Creation. The names of endorsing dioceses listed on the pdf file will be updated until Sept. 1.
